The new fuel efficiency standards, adopted on 31 March 2020, require manufacturers to improve the fuel efficiency of their vehicles by 32,4% (to reach 25.4 lm/l) compared to efficiency in 2016 (19.2 km/l) by 2030. The target vehicles are: gasoline vehicles, diesel vehicles, LPG vehicles, electric vehicles. and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
