Part of the European Green Deal, a strategy by the European Commission which proposes several actions related to biodiversity, including the aim to legally protect 30% of the area in the EU, of which 30% would be strictly protected by 2030.
The strategy outlines that ev??ery Member State will have to do its fair share to achieve the ultimate goal while recognising that each country has a different quantity and quality of biodiversity.
