This plan aims to improve the sustainability of public works, helping Chile to achieve its NDC and carbon neutrality targets. It emphasises measures such as the improved management of construction and demolition waste, and aims to reduce GHG emissions throughout the entire life cycle of public works by measuring its carbon footprint. Overall, the mitigation measures in the plan are expected to contribute to 0.569 MtCO2e in reductions in the 2025-2029 period. Regarding the means of implementation, it highlights strengthening the Sustainable Building Certification and establishing Clean Production Agreements.
