As part of its COVID-19 relief efforts, this act seeks to suppor the american manufacturing sector, while providing new authorities in three main areas, to phase down the production and consumption of listed HFCs, manage HFCs and their substitutes, and facilitate the transition to next-generation technologies. The US EPA is reconsidering a key rule under the Act, the Technology Transitions Rule, that aims to phase down HFC production and imports by 85% by 2036.
