"Dubai’s energy strategy aims to diversify the Emirate’s electricity generation mix to include 15% renewable energy by 2030. Renewable energy sources connected to the transmission network, mainly solar power, will be subject to regulation by the RSB. Connections to the DEWA network will have to meet technical standards and connection requirements, which are set out in the RSB’s Renewables Standards for connections made to the transmission network, and Dubai Electricity & Water Authority’s Standards for Distributed Renewable Resources Generators Connected to the Distribution Network (the latter supersedes the former in the case of connections to the distribution network)."
