The ENERGY STAR program is a voluntary labelling initative designed to promote products with high energy efficiency standards identified by the EPA. The Trump administration attempted to dissolve the program in May 2025, but in January 2026 bipartisan budget legislation was passed and signed into law by Trump that would allocate dedicated funding to the program.
