On October 18, 2024, the Chinese government established the China Resources Recycling Group Co., Ltd. (CRRG), a state-owned enterprise with 10 billion yuan in registered capital, to create a national platform for resource recycling and reuse. The CRRG is tasked with recycling various materials including scrap metals, waste plastics, electronic equipment, and decommissioned renewable energy equipment, as part of China's efforts to develop its circular economy.
