It entails directions on structuring tariff mechanisms under PPAs for gas and renewable energy projects, and introduces a long-term minimum contract quantity. The competitive bidding process is reiterated in this document, as well as incentives for renewable energy projects.

It replaces the previous Electricity Law of 2004.
