The 2035 NDC states an unconditional mitigation objective of 21.6% below BAU by 2035 (incl. LULUCF), and a conditional mitigation objective of 53% below BAU by 2035.
The updated NDC also includes the target of phasing out coal power by 2040, conditional on international support, or in the 2040s in absence of international support.
Further, the country aims to triple its renewable energy capacity to over 15 GW by 2030.
