Bosnia and Herzegovina’s NDC proposes an economy-wide target between 2020 and 2030.

The unconditional target proposed is a reduction of 12.8% relative to 2014 or 33.2% relative to 1990 by 2030. The conditional target, based on international assistance for decarbonisation of mining areas, is a reduction of 17.5% relative to 2014 or 36.8% compared to 1990 by 2030. In 2050 the country proposes to reduce 50% of GHG emissions unconditionally and 55% conditionally compared to 2014 or 61.7% and 65.6% compared to 1990. Therefore, the unconditional target is to halve emissions by 2050 compared to 2014.

The Greenhouse gases covered are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
