In 2025, the government put forward the "Norway Price", a support scheme for households for electricity and district heating. A total of NOK 1,265 million have been allocated to the scheme.
The Norway Price aims to make costs more predictable. Households are settled against a fixed price per kWh: For the period of October 2025 to December 2026, the government proposed a fixed price of 40 øre per kWh, excl. VAT. Households can choose between the Norway price scheme, or the regular electricity support scheme.
