The Act was amended in 2020 to revise targets to 2030 and 2040. With the amendment to the Wind Energy at Sea Act (WindSeeG) in 2022, the government envisages an offshore wind expansion of installed capacity of at least 30 gigawatts by 2030, at least 40 gigawatts by 2035 and at least 70 gigawatts by 2045.
