Abu Dhabi has set a target of 7% renewable energy generation capacity by 2020. The targets are expected to be met by a combination of solar (PV and CSP), wind, and waste-to-energy projects. Dubai has a target of 5% solar energy consumption by 2030 as part of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030.
