This latest amendment to MEMR Regulation 49/2018 (as previously amended by MEMR Regulation 16/2019) improves the governance and economics of rooftop solar PV. The main refinements are (1) export provision of electricity increases from 65% to 100%, (2) excess accumulated difference in bills extended from 3 months to 6 months, (3) application period shortened to 5 days, (4) application mechanism introduced to ease submission, reporting, and supervision of Rooftop solar PV program, (5) opportunity for carbon trading from rooftop solar PV, (6) complaint centre opened for rooftop solar PV customers, and (7) arrangement extended to include non-PLN customers (IUPTLU Holders).
