Zambia Vision 2030 is a long-term perspective plan aiming at attaining prosperous middle-income nation status by 2030 by creating an enabling environment for sustainable socio-economic development. One of the energy conditions for this to be achieved is attaining universal access to clean, reliable and affordable energy at the least economic, ficial, social and environmental costs and increased use of renewable sources of energy. Targets for this goal: Increased renewable alternative sources of energy; Reduce the share of wood fuel to 40 percent by 2030.
